Since 1980, Mike and Kathy Stutland have nurtured this vision from a small boutique into a nationally renowned, full-spectrum fine contemporary American craft gallery with over 4,500 square feet in its original location at The Lexington Center in the heart of downtown Lexington, KY. In 1996, Artique opened a second location at Lexington Green, a vibrant entertainment retail complex on the south side of Lexington. In August 2001, Artique expanded again adding another store featuring statement jewelry and high-end fine American crafts. Artique has become a prime source for fine jewelry, blown glass, collectable crafts, art, and one-of-a-kind gifts.

Artique's generous support of many non-profit organizations has received much recognition over the years. In 1998, Artique received the prestigious Leadership Achievement Award from the city of Lexington, Kentucky.
