This one of a kind "Springtime in Kentucky" coffee table features hackberry wood. Hackberry wood was used for barrel hoops as well as flooring in pioneer cabins. Hackberry is also known as Sugarberry, Nettletree, and Beaverwood. The hackberry used in this piece came from a farm in Central Kentucky and was milled at a local sawmill.
The vivid green resins chosen for this piece resemble the lush greens that pop up all over Kentucky each Spring. The fine craftsmanship includes exceptional detailed dovetail joints. This hackberry table is not onl;y an heirloom, but also a signifigant piece of history. - Thor Horseman
