The butterflies used for this jewelry come from butterfly farming projects and rainforest sustainable use systems. The butterflies live out their natural lives and are then harvested. This sustainable use helps preserve wild butterfly populations. By the marketing of these and similar sustainable use products, rainforests gain economic viability, creating a strong incentive to leave them in their natural state, while at the at the same time providing needed income for local peoples. We appreciate and support these efforts. The artist (Butterfly Artworks) is licensed by the U. S. Department of the Interior to import insects.

TO PRESERVE COLOR AND THE INHERENT DELICATE NATURE OF THE WINGS, AVOID STORING THE EARRINGS IN DIRECT SUNLIGHT AND AVOID CONTACT WITH WATER. CLOTH POLISH THE STERLING AS NEEDED.
